Tom Malinowski to Hold Roundtable with Teachers

Following the Americans for Prosperity led attack on education unions at the start of the school year, Tom Malinowski will hold a roundtable with district teachers to discuss how best to support them and their union going forward.

"Our education system is the pride of New Jerseyans," said Tom Malinowski. "And what makes our education system so great is that our amazing teachers have been able to fight for the right conditions to help students succeed. Unions are integral to that fight.

Following on the recent Supreme Court ruling Janus v. AFSCME, the AFP sent mail and radio advertisements targeting New Jersey Education Association members encouraging them to leave the union while still taking advantage of the benefits of collective bargaining.
